Short Sales and Foreclosure Certification

Knowing how to manage the complexity of the short sale or foreclosure process is a critical skill that can increase your access to listings. If you are a REALTOR®, earning your SFR® certification will increase your credibility, and give you access to a new client base of buyers and sellers dealing with distressed properties.

In this training you will learn how to help your clients maneuver the complexities of a short sale or potential foreclosure. This course covers Forbearances, Short Sales and the REO markets.

It is specifically designed to show how the real estate professional can serve as a resource to sellers and buyers in the brokerage of distressed properties. Real estate professionals play an invaluable role in helping homeowners and home buyers navigate these transactions. And, as a result, real estate professionals can help contribute to the real estate recovery in their market.

The SFR Certification is a lifetime career certification with no annual renewal fees.

Including these lifetime career benefits:

  • Access to SFR logo
  • A library of customizable marketing material
  • Differentiation as SFR Certified on the realtor.com and nar.realtor websites
  • Online networking with your SFR Certified peers
  • This course is also an approved elective for the Accredited Buyer Representative NAR Designation

Additionally, R.E.E.S. will provide each REALTOR® with:

  • Reiteration of the SFR certification process
  • Recommendations for next steps
  • Numerous additional handouts
  • The ability to email R.E.E.S. with questions anytime in the future, as long as R.E.E.S. is still teaching this class

Taught by Professor Patricia de Santos who has been a real estate professional since 1979.
Ms. De Santos is also a Real Estate Professor and has been teaching real estate courses across the nation and at a local community college since 2008. During Ms. De Santos’ career she has earned
