This describes the Whatcom Association REALTORS® (WCAR) a nonprofit 501 (c) (6) organization located
in Bellingham, WA. Whatcom was founded in 1908 to serve the real estate communities of Whatcom
County. Since that time, it has grown significantly to 800 REALTORS® and 36 AFFILIATES. Whatcom is a
member of the broker-owned regional Northwest MLS.

Whatcom is looking for a new Executive Officer (EO) with association management experience and is
enthusiastic, focused on member success, and a team builder who empowers both staff and volunteers.
The successful candidate must use their strong administrative skills to assist WCAR with reaching its
goals. Desired skills and experience include strategic and business planning, staff management,
community relations, budget and finance, (including building non-dues income), administration, facilities
management and IT, communication skills, and community relations experience. The EO will oversee
three staff members.

Desired experience includes at least two years and preferably five years as an executive and a college
degree or commensurate experience. Holding either an RCE or CAE would be a plus.

Salary and benefits are commensurate for the area: $90,000-$100,000.
