Water Rights & Water Supply Issues for REALTORS® – 3.5 CE
Instructor: Bill Clarke
Bill Clarke is an attorney and lobbyist based in Olympia who serves as Policy Director for Washington REALTORS®, and also provides legislative and legal services for a variety of businesses, utilities, local governments, and non-profit organizations. He is a former member and chair of the Washington State Pollution Control and Shorelines Hearings Boards, which hear appeals of state and local permit decisions. Bill is a graduate of Whitman College and the University of Montana Law School.
This class focuses on water rights and water supply issues involved in real estate transactions and development projects, an increasingly complex issue in both urban and rural areas. The existing Seller’s Disclosure Form, which includes a number of questions on water supply issues, is used as a tool to help REALTORS® understand key issues, and to identify and preserve opportunities and minimize risks for their clients.
